Skógafoss

from A$225.00

Back stories are my favourite. They give perspective to an otherwise static moment. Take this image for example.

We arrived at the world famous Skogafoss to a very full carpark. Armed with cameras, we trekked over to the falls and were equally astounded by the view and the hordes of tourists. My creativity felt challenged seeing everyone get the same angle, the same shot. We did the classic tourist poses and started heading back, mildly disappointed that I didn’t capture anything spectacular. I turned around one last time, noticed this man and instantly begun shooting.

To me, he gave the environment perspective. He enabled viewers to grasp the magnitude of the space. One of my biggest motivations in photography.
